Terms of use

These Terms apply to the website mowa-copyediting.com. Our Polish-language website, grupamowa.pl, has its own terms of use.

§ 1 Definitions

1. We – Mowa D spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością (a Polish limited liability company) with its registered office in Warsaw (postal code 02-319), at ul. Węgierska 1/10, entered in the register of entrepreneurs of the National Court Register under KRS number 0000909963, holding tax identification number (NIP) 9462708005 and statistical number (REGON) 38938575; email: clarify@mowa-copyediting.com.

2. Website – our website at https://mowa-copyediting.com.

3. You / the Client – anyone who uses the Website or is interested in our Services.

4. Services – the services we provide, in particular copyediting and proofreading of scholarly texts written in English. Our current Services are described on the Website.

§ 2 General provisions

1. These Terms set out the rules for using the Website and for how you can ask us for a quote and order the Services.

2. The Website is an information service. It has no user accounts, no contact forms, no online payments, and no online shop. You can read it free of charge and without registering.

3. To use the Website you need a device with internet access and a current version of any web browser. To contact us you need an active email account. The Website does not require cookies.

4. If you have questions about the Services, contact us by email at clarify@mowa-copyediting.com or by post at the address given in § 1(1).

§ 3 Quotes and orders

1. To ask for a quote, send us an email with the text or a sample and tell us what you need. We reply within one business day with the price and the expected delivery date. If we have questions, we will contact you. A quote does not commit you to anything.

2. If you accept the quote, we will send you our general terms of service. A contract is concluded between us when you accept them, and we get to work. All details of how the Service is carried out are set out in the general terms of service, unless we have agreed them in email correspondence.

3. Proof of purchase is a VAT invoice, which you will receive at the email address you provide. By ordering a Service you authorize us to send you invoices electronically.

§ 4 Complaints about the Website

1. If the Website does not work properly, you may file a complaint by email at clarify@mowa-copyediting.com or by post at the address given in § 1(1).

2. In your complaint, describe the problem and give your contact details. If your complaint is unclear or incomplete, we will contact you to clarify.

3. We will respond to your complaint within 14 days of receiving it.

4. Complaints about the Services themselves are handled under the general terms of service referred to in § 3(2).

§ 5 Content of the Website

1. The texts, samples of edited passages, and graphic design of the Website are protected by copyright. You may read them, quote them with attribution, and share links to them. Any other use requires our consent.

2. The articles published on the Website offer general guidance on academic writing and publishing. They are not advice on any individual case.

§ 6 Final provisions

1. We may amend these Terms for important reasons, such as changes in legislation, changes to the features of the Website, the need to remove ambiguities or errors, or changes in our contact details.

2. An amendment takes effect when we publish the new Terms on the Website. It binds for the future and does not affect contracts concluded before the amendment.

3. The current Terms are always available at mowa-copyediting.com/terms.

4. Matters not governed by these Terms are subject to generally applicable Polish law, including the provisions of the Civil Code, the Act of 18 July 2002 on the Provision of Services by Electronic Means, and the Act of 30 May 2014 on Consumer Rights.

5. These Terms neither exclude nor limit any rights you have under mandatory provisions of law.
